HoganLax, based in Annapolis, Maryland, is the leading lacrosse sports event organizer in the U.S. Mid-Atlantic region. Every summer, HoganLax hosts tournaments for several hundred boys' lacrosse teams in three states. The player and development organization also hosts a player and coach training event in Florida for 15 lacrosse teams annually.
THE CHALLENGE: A TIGHT SCHEDULE
HoganLax needed storage and moving services for its equipment and merchandise during five summer tournaments the company hosts in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia. Crews required early morning access to set up goals, fencing, tables, tents, products for sale and banners. The company needed its gear to be delivered on time to each tournament site and moved to the next event location to meet the setup schedule.
THE PODS SOLUTION: COORDINATED DELIVERIES
PODS provided a single, dedicated Business Solutions Specialist to schedule deliveries and pickups of PODS containers at each tournament site. PODS assigned one early morning delivery for all containers so that multiple set-up crews could start unloading early. Following the end of each tournament, PODS picked up the loaded containers and delivered them to the next site at the scheduled time to ensure tournament set-ups stayed on track.
THE RESULTS: VALUABLE PARTNERSHIP
Coordinated deliveries allowed crews at separate sites to all begin unloading at the same time. Workers had easy access to clean storage and inventory. Company liability also decreased, since staff no longer had to drive rental trucks from site to site. After first using PODS in 2014, HoganLax found the relationship so valuable that it now partners with PODS every year for its summer tournaments and annual Florida training event.
