Moving to Las Vegas
Las Vegas has one of the most unique cultures of any city in the country. The town is full of life, and though millions of people visit every year, the area is also experiencing an influx of permanent residents. The population has been climbing since the 1990s, and as of 2015, roughly 632,000 people call Sin City home.
It's no mystery why people visit Las Vegas, but why do they become permanent residents? It's partly because the city is constantly expanding culturally and economically. The largest employers are hotel and casino businesses, providing lots of opportunity for anyone interested in hospitality. In addition to world-class casino resorts such as Westgate Las Vegas and Caesars Palace, there’s also a booming art and entertainment scene, from world-class performances at the MGM Grand Garden Arena to up-and-coming musicians at intimate venues in the downtown arts district.
You don’t have to live in the hub of the casino scene to enjoy Las Vegas living. Summerlin is a peaceful residential area on the western edge of the Las Vegas valley. The master-planned community has more than 230 parks and nine golf courses. Over two dozen public and private schools let residents choose the right educational experiences for their needs.
Boulder City in Southern Nevada is a nice small town with a beautiful downtown historic district with both modern and 1930s architecture. There are plenty of modern stores and restaurants throughout and it is close to Lake Mead National Recreation Area and the Hoover Dam if you’re looking for outdoor fun.
Henderson is a wonderful suburb in the southeastern portion of the Vegas area. Close to Sloan Canyon and Lake Mead, there are plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy. The city is also consistently ranked one of the best places to live with great housing options, schools, and vast options of eating and shopping.
Things to Do and See in Las Vegas

● Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign: Another must-do for visitors and new residents alike is to snap a photo in front of this iconic landmark.
● Visit the Arts District: For the best shows and shopping outside of the Strip, head downtown for pedestrian-only streets near the city's Art Square.
● See the Knights: The NHL Las Vegas Golden Knights play in T-Mobile Arena, located on the Strip so you have easy access to a game.
